The Queen Speaks of God

Faith-based quotes from Queen Elizabeth II, honouring our eternal and loving King and Father.

To honour her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, I want to give glory to our ultimate King, the one she served first and foremost and the one who called and chose her to begin with: El Shaddai, Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim, the Almighty God of Heaven and Earth.

Our holy and eternal Father was the one who inspired and lead her majesty to reign over the United Kingdom with assiduousness, wisdom, diligence and intention of peace for so long. He anointed her as sovereign over this country knowing that she'd remain faith-filled and loving in her rule.

Through Jesus, we have been made part of a royal family also, making us royal ourselves (1 Peter 2:9). King and Queens are rare today and they are seen as something of great value and virtue. Some even think monarchies are unnecessary nowadays, but that's only because they look with their eyes and not with the wisdom of what a monarch meant from the start. The Bible tells us that when Jesus returns, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is King (Phil 2:10-11).

A Kingdom is something of importance to our God. A King is someone who rules and knows best over his people, someone who protects, serves and watches over his nation. The reason Jesus refers to Himself as King is because that is the only way we can understand His vital authority in our lives. He protects and rules over us but we have to remember that all the power is in His hand, therefore to bow and worship Him is our way of rightfully giving back what He deserves.

Our Eternal King has proven over again that He is the most loving and one who wishes only to bless and save His people. Isn't it an honour to have such a King? I encourage you today to approach God's throne with respect and boldness: reach out to who He is for you as a King and discover yet another side of His endless identities.

For Queen Elizabeth, faith was not something she flaunted often but it was certainly something she was deeply rooted in. The way she spoke about Christ and salvation is magnificent and I hope that it inspires you today to come and bow before the ultimate King, the one and all-deserving.

Quotes about God by Queen Elizabeth II:

"For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace is an inspiration and an anchor in my life.”

"None of us can slow the passage of time; and while we often focus on all that has changed in the intervening years, much remains unchanged, including the Gospel of Christ and his teachings.”

"Throughout my life, the message and teachings of Christ have been my guide and in them I find hope.”

"Despite being displaced and persecuted throughout his short life, Christ's unchanging message was not one of revenge or violence but simply that we should love one another."

"It is in forgiveness that we feel the power of God’s love.”

"A role model of reconciliation and forgiveness, He stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing. Christ's example has taught me to seek to respect and value all people, of whatever faith or none."

"I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian gospel."

Be blessed in Christ today with peace and comfort. I pray that you discover God not just as your creator, saviour, healer, deliverer and provider, but as what He most astoundingly and brilliantly is: the supreme King of all.

Below is a conversation with another monarch, Queen Victoria who also spoke with such honour about our Eternal King:

"Oh! how I wish that the Lord would come in my lifetime!" said Queen Victoria.
"Why does your Majesty feel this very earnest desire?"
The Queen replied with quivering lips, and her whole countenance lighted up by deep emotion-
"I should so love to lay my crown at His feet."
